Riprendiamoci il futuro

In support of children suffering from ADHD

Launched in 2018, “Riprendiamoci il futuro...” (Let’s take our future back) is an ongoing project on Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), a condition that affects at least 1% of the Italian child population according to data from the Italian National Institute of Health.

TRAINING

for around 400 teachers

Children and adolescents suffering from this disorder display a significant decline in terms of school performance, quality of relationships with peers and adults, and ability to comply with basic social rules.

In the absence of early diagnosis and adequate treatment, a child suffering from ADHD is very likely to develop issues related to social deviance, addiction, social exclusion, etc. in adulthood.

This experimental and innovative project envisages not only information/training initiatives for the Educating Community (around 400 teachers have already been trained in this field, and information/training material has been published), but also psycho-pedagogical support measures in favor of students with ADHD from low-income families, who therefore cannot afford the (very high) costs of the above-mentioned actions. Support measures are based on a multi-modal approach, and they use the innovative Neurofeedback methodology.
